Shipping, Packaging, and Labor Cost.

SHIPPING:

Most orders will be shipped by UPS, Fed EX Ground Service, or Freight Carrier at a rate to be determined after an order has been packed and weighed. Clients will be notified of the exact shipping quote at the time that their order is packed and weighed.

Freight service deliveries are curbside and include lift gate service.

Shipping cost is determined by a third-party freight company after the order has been packed and weighed. Shipping charges and balances on the order must be paid in full before delivery can be scheduled.

Ashore Lighting is not responsible for delays caused by either the Freight Company selected, UPS, or FedEx. Shipping and freight companies are completely independent of Ashore Lighting which means that we have no control over freight or shipping company schedules.

The customer is responsible for the inspection of all merchandise upon arrival. The customer must notify Ashore Lighting and their freight/shipping company within 24 hours after receiving the order if any damage has occurred to the order. Failure to notify Ashore Lighting and freight/shipping company and waiting for a period of time to inspect order until it's time for installation will cause claim to be rejected.

If you receive broken glass panels, we will replace them if notified and sent pictures of damage within 2 business days. Ashore Lighting is not responsible for broken glass panels, missing candle covers, or other damage not reported within the first 48 hours the order is received. No exceptions.

Shipping damages must be claimed with the shipper.

PACKING:

Since most of our products are as fragile as they are heavy, they require special packaging. Each fixture is packed by hand using the best material available to protect our designs.

Cost of packing materials and labor is separate from the shipping cost quoted by the freight companies and it will be quoted when the order is placed.

PACKING COST:

We at Ashore Lighting strive to keep the cost as low as possible without sacrificing the quality and care your designs require at the time of packing for shipping.

The following are individual examples of costs for packing our designs. This cost is separate from what the shipping or freight company will charge for transporting your order. They only transport—not pack.

Since orders that includes multiple pieces will be shipped with various designs together, the costs are lower than individual product costs and would be quoted at the each respective order is placed. This quote can only be provided after establishing the designs that will be included in that particular order.

  • —One chandelier up to 44" W packed in custom box and wood pallet ... $75.00
  • —One chandelier up to 44" W plus two small wall sconces ... $95.00
  • —One oversize chandelier over 45" W to 60" W ... $100.00
  • —One oversize chandelier over 60" in height ... $120.00
  • —Two wall sconces up to 36" W that do not have glass and require no pallet ... $30.00
  • —One Pendant light with glass that requires a wood pallet ... $50.00

At the time an order is quoted or placed, Ashore Lighting will include the cost of packing your designs.

PICK UP/WILL CALL:

ORDERS PICKED UP AT OUR DALLAS, TX SHOWROOM WILL BE WRAPPED IN FOAM, NOT BOXED, FREE OF CHARGE.

GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION:

If the client is not available to receive the order when freight or shipping company intends to make the delivery and the order is returned or incurs a storage fee, Ashore Lighting is not responsible for the costs.

Ashore Lighting will keep your order in our warehouse for 5 working days after a client has been notified the order is ready to ship and shipping quote has been emailed. After that time, shipping charges will be processed based on the shipping quote given and order will be shipped.

In cases were there is no credit card on file and there has been several attempts by Ashore Lighting to contact client without an answer in the 5 working days period, a weekly storage fee of $40.00 per pallet/box will be added to the balance on the invoice.

Ashore Lighting does not offer storage service for orders.

RETURNS:

If your light fixture or accessory is defective in material or workmanship, we will repair or replace it with exactly the same design. No other returns will be accepted. All merchandise to be returned must be packed in the original packaging. If this is not available, the customer is responsible for packing items to be returned in the same manner that the order was received. Ashore Lighting is not responsible for packaging cost and will not accept merchandise that was damaged in transit due to poor packaging. No cancellations after 24 hours. All sales are final. Shipping damages must be claimed with the shipper.
